This Festive Drink – The Method
WThis is an easy interpretation of a drink from our latest menu. Designed as a party-sized pre-mixed that is loaded with flavours of the festive period, rendering it perfect for a festive gathering. Any leftover cordial for morning drinks, sweets, or to make more rounds of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 servings
To make the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
For the Premix (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
For the Cordial: Put every components into a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, mixing so the sugar melts. After that, take off the heat and leave to cool down entirely. Pour into an clean bottle, seal keeping it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for around a month.
For the Batch Mix: Mix the specified liquids into one big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Measure 85ml from the batch mix into your mixing glass packed with ice, and stir carefully for a minute to chill. Pour into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, top with some cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
